Ghanshyam Patel embodies the story of a hardworking immigrant who turned vision, perseverance, faith in God, and strong family values into lasting entrepreneurial success.

Originally from India, he began working in his family’s tobacco wholesale business at just age 14. In 1988, he immigrated to Chicago with the encouragement of his older siblings, starting at Maaco and becoming a partner at the Schererville location by 1990.

Through tireless effort and close collaboration and support of his family, Mr. Patel grew into a respected multi-shop operator, developing 12 Maaco locations across Chicagoland. In 2010, he expanded into the grocery and liquor retail space, and in 2022 helped launch Vedara Ventures into hospitality, where the Patel family now proudly manages nine properties.

His journey is a testament to resilience, faith, and entrepreneurial drive — a legacy that continues to guide Vedara Ventures across industries.
