CARPENTERSVILLE, IL – April 1, 2026 – Vedara Ventures announced today the acquisition of Maaco Collision Repair – Carpentersville, located at 212 S. Western Ave. The acquisition marks the company’s seventh acquisition in the past six years, expands its current automotive portfolio to 16 properties, and represents the eighteenth property owned by the family over its history.

The addition of the Carpentersville location further strengthens Vedara Ventures’ position as the leading Maaco operator in the Chicagoland area. With this acquisition, the company now owns 12 of the 15 Maaco locations across Chicagoland.

The Carpentersville facility was attractive to Vedara Ventures because of its highly visible location, strong retail corridor, and well-designed shop layout. While the business had been slightly underperforming, company leadership saw significant opportunity to build on its strong fundamentals.

“Family-owned, growth-focused” has long been the philosophy behind Vedara Ventures, and the acquisition of Maaco Collision Repair in Carpentersville is the latest example of that strategy in action.

“The acquisition of Maaco Collision Repair in Carpentersville is another exciting step in our growth story,” said Kush Patel, CEO of Vedara Ventures. “Carpentersville has always been an important market for us, and when this opportunity became available, we knew it was a perfect fit. The location has a great foundation, an excellent layout, and sits in a strong retail corridor.

“By bringing our operating experience, fleet relationships, and shared services platform to the business, we believe we can unlock tremendous potential.

“As a family-owned company, we take pride in investing in businesses for the long term. This is our seventh acquisition in six years, our sixteenth property in our current automotive portfolio, and the fifteenth property our family has owned overall. We now own 12 of the 15 Maaco locations in Chicagoland, and we remain incredibly optimistic about the future. Our focus is simple: take care of our employees, provide great service to our customers, and continue building the strongest collision and fleet repair network in the region.”

Vedara Ventures plans to retain the current management team and employees at the Carpentersville location while investing in growth and expansion. The company expects to add five additional positions over the next year, roughly doubling the current workforce.

The Carpentersville location will offer a full range of services, including collision repair, paint work, insurance claims, fleet repair, commercial van and truck repair, remarketing, and redeployment services. The facility will also become part of Vedara Ventures’ broader fleet platform, supporting many of the company’s major fleet relationships and redeployment programs.

With more than 40 years of experience in the automotive industry, Vedara Ventures has grown into one of the Midwest’s largest family-owned collision and fleet repair organizations. Across its various industries, the company now operates more than 20 locations and employs more than 600 people.

Vedara Ventures has built its reputation by acquiring strong businesses with untapped potential and helping them grow through better operations, centralized support, technology, and customer relationships. The company’s network serves everyone from individual retail customers to national fleet partners, with the ability to repair and refinish everything from passenger vehicles to commercial vans and Class 8 trucks.

The acquisition of the Carpentersville location continues the company’s long-term commitment to the communities it serves throughout Chicagoland.

“Chicago is our home, and we know this market well,” Patel said. “We believe there is tremendous opportunity in Carpentersville and throughout the northwest suburbs. We are excited to continue investing in the community, creating jobs, and building a business that customers and employees can be proud of.”
